Kaweco EBONIT Sport - a tribute to 140 years of Kaweco
The beginnings of Kaweco date back to 1883. For 140 years, Kaweco has been writing history with high-quality writing instruments and is therefore known as one of the oldest brands in its industry. A legacy that is still reflected in the design of its products today. Then, as now, the following principle is groundbreaking: To create writing instruments with a lot of passion and love that will be a beloved and loyal companion for a lifetime.
With the Kaweco Ebonit Sport, we take you on a journey through time. Not only is the shape of the popular Sport model inspired by products from over a hundred years ago, but the material used also has a historical origin. In a time when the injection molding process had not yet been invented, ebonite was often the material of choice for writing instruments. The name ebonite goes back to ebony, which is very similar to hard rubber in color and hardness. The expressive marbling and the highly polished surface suggest the appearance of valuable exotic wood. The material composition with natural rubber and sulfur is completely natural. The combination with gold-plated elements underlines the nostalgic character of the fountain pen and emphasizes the warm brown grain. Complex burin engraving work perfectly complements the history-steeped craftsmanship. As standard, the Ebonit fountain pen features a gold-plated stainless steel nib Made in Germany.
As a perfect complement, the limited set includes a nostalgic gold-colored clip to securely attach the pen to a notepad. In addition to the standard royal blue ink cartridge in the fountain pen, there is also a practical 10-pack of Kaweco ink colors to personalize your own writing. Everything is placed together in packaging inspired by historical cardboard boxes of the era.
Note: Due to the sulfur it contains, the pen develops a patina and becomes a unique collector's item with its own individual coloring over time. The original condition can be restored with simple polishing.
Note: Due to the manual polishing process of the surface, the size of the pen itself can vary between 12 cm and 13 cm.
