Description

The Kunisawa Tool Case blends contemporary design with rich Japanese artisanal tradition. Made with the exclusive sumi-zome fabric, each piece is carefully woven on shuttle looms that do not tension the threads, resulting in a high-density weave and exceptional durability. Over time, the fabric ages organically, allowing you to appreciate the evolution of its texture and natural tone.

The uniqueness of this piece lies in the sumi-zome technique, which uses binchotan charcoal to dye the material. This special process gives the fabric an impressive texture and a soft touch reminiscent of Japanese washi paper. This charcoal dyeing tradition carries a historical legacy of almost 750 years, being referenced since the Kamakura era in the classic collection "One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets."

Sophisticated and functional, this case is the ideal choice for those seeking elegance and resilience in a high-quality organizing accessory.

I was very happy to see Araujo & Sobrinho reopened and with excellent quality materials. Returning to the store brought back many memories from my student days. It's a landmark store and deserves to continue this beautiful tradition.
