About the brand

Notebooks for endless stories

MUJINZO is the notebook line of Green Papilio, created in 2020 in Sapporo, Japan, by Yaeko Shiroshita, a nihonga painter, and Seika, who designs the products and illustrations. The name comes from the Japanese word mujinzō, meaning inexhaustible.

The covers are inspired by observing nature. The notebooks use OK Fools paper and are handmade in Tokyo by the bookbinder Kawachiya, entirely in Japan.

Testimonials

  • I was very happy to see Araujo & Sobrinho reopened, with materials of great quality. Walking into the shop again brought back many memories of my student days. It is a landmark and deserves to carry on this fine tradition.

  • On Largo de São Domingos, Araujo & Sobrinho is still a magical world. The old cabinets, the papers and canvases, and the same warm welcome as always take us back to times gone by. It is a house that keeps the memory of the city of Porto.
