Description

The PENCO Prime Timber Brass Red is a mechanical pencil with a hexagonal wooden body and a thick 2 mm lead, here in red. It was created in partnership with the Kitaboshi Pencil Company as a nostalgic writing instrument designed for adults.

The body is made of US-grown incense cedar, with brass parts that give it a balanced weight in the hand. The lead is Japanese, made with an impurity-free binder for smooth writing. It is made in Japan and comes with a lead sharpener and a B lead.

To sharpen the lead in the included sharpener, move the pencil back and forth rather than turning it.

About the brand

Everyday stationery, with memories

PENCO was born in 1999 in Fukuoka, Japan, as HIGHTIDE's main brand. It started with a single American ballpoint pen, which gave it its name: Penco, from Pen Company.

It combines American vintage spirit with European design in practical objects with a nostalgic touch: clips, clipboards, rulers, scissors and pencils for the desk.

Testimonials

  • I was very happy to see Araujo & Sobrinho reopened, with materials of great quality. Walking into the shop again brought back many memories of my student days. It is a landmark and deserves to carry on this fine tradition.

  • On Largo de São Domingos, Araujo & Sobrinho is still a magical world. The old cabinets, the papers and canvases, and the same warm welcome as always take us back to times gone by. It is a house that keeps the memory of the city of Porto.
